Silver prices have gone down a little (yay!) My findings prices have now been updated as of the 16th March 2026. Online purchases are available for orders 20 pairs and under, please get in touch for orders over this so I can re-quote the per-pair price as I will possibly need to order more wire at a possibly increased price. Cheers, Karen

I am a glass bead and jewellery maker who works from my cosy home studio in Te Kopuru, Northland.
I have been creating jewellery for more than a decade and enjoy every step of the process. I have experimented with various styles and techniques in my jewellery making journey; from simple bead stringing and fastening, to wire wrapping, pearl knotting, and bead weaving. This inspired me to start making my own beads. In 2014 I took a weekend course at 'Born to Bead' and fell in love with it. I have been making beads ever since.
Each bead is carefully crafted in a very hot flame and then immediately put in a kiln to cool down gradually for several hours for durability. I mainly use Italian glass (Effetre) and some American (Double Helix) and also have some fun transforming broken antique bottle glass I find in Kaipara into beautiful beads and jewellery too!
